Hope Auckland's 10th Anniversary

The past week has been really full and challenging. Ps Brendan from Australia came to Auckland and ran two healing nights, then followed by our 10th church anniversary. I too was very occupied in helping out at the healing nights and preparing a video clip for this 10th anniversary. I got home at about 11pm After the 2nd healing night on Saturday. Then I had to run through many video tapes, upload them to my laptop, edit, select photos, any put everything together into a smooth video. That was the most satisfying experience! Haha. But honestly, I felt very touched when I reviewed so many church events happened in the past. And I felt very pity when I saw so many people have left for different reasons. But I felt very encouraged to see how much people who are still in the church have grown.

I am very blessed.

Eyeport, an eye for the world

Kathy's Graduation

Yes, it was Kathy's graduation, one of the glorious moments in her life. I was busy all day taking photos (no kidding!), just don't wanna miss a shot of that angel-like smile (^@^)))))~...

Again, I've uploaded some of her photos to Kathy's Graduation (click to view slideshow) on FLICKR. Only some of them because it takes a long time to edit those photos and there in fact are too many photos! I will upload some more later on. :)

By the way, few of us from skykiwi have voluntarily formed a group running a "Photo4U" "business". So we took photos for whoever agreed to be taken on their graduation day and then sell our photos! So far I've sold one. Haha. Just realized how expensive it costs to hire a photographer for an hour! Over $160!! WOW.

Photos! Our graduation!

Tomorrow is Kathy's graduation. Finally I realize how I felt others were more excited than me on my graduation day. Because I am now all excited for tomorrow. ^_^

I selected some graduation photos and uploaded them to my Flickr. I am very impressed by Aurora's work on that day. Although the white balance is a bit off, but the photos are very contrasty. In fact, it did add more atmosphere. Thank you!

I had some reflections for the past three years. Friends there really mean a lot to me. They have certainly made my uni life less boring. You are not me so you don't know how cool my friends are and how important they are. By saying they have made my ordinary everyday uni life less boring, they really did! :P

I had dinner with Mr. Lu and few other friends. He's been in NZ for over 8yrs and he told us he had to make new friends almost every 2-3yrs because most people don't stay here for long. People that he knew since 1999 are hardly in NZ anymore. I guess being such a person witnesses a few "generations" of friends is really hard I guess.

What about me? A lot of people I knew since college are hardly here as well. Where are they? What are they doing now? And my dear fellow graduates, where will you be going? Friends, how are you?

Tomorrow's weather better be awesome. :)

Finally, my Graduation!!

Although the title seems so exciting, but to be honest, I did not have a single sense of excitment at all until I walked down the street with my gown on me. I realised it's a special day for me and all of us who are graduating.

Deliberately turned off my alarm this morning and refused to get up until about 8:30am. I received quite a number of txt from friends who sent their greetings and congratulations. I was especially pleased with CC's txt(Calvin_Chan, my fellow cantonese photography buddy on skykiwi). He said something like he prayed to God for the weather and the weather was good! And it was really goooood!!!

Not long after I left home, I realised something was missing. My hands were too free! Where was my trencher(hat)??? So I had to go back home again. My slight lateness made me even more stand out on the street (being one of a few who have the regalia on).

When I arrived at uni I saw the overwhelming number of commerce students. After I found my property crowd, I was immediately requested(required) to be in cheers mode and take photos with different classmate.

We paraded from OGH along Bowen Ave, Queen St then to Aotea Square. I saw CC, KFC, Amy and a whole bunch of other people. Photos...photos...photos... It's really great to see and chat Colleen again. We havn't been catching up for a long time. Suddenly have so many topics to talk about(remember last time we had a chance to chat was after we finished our very last exam for our bachelor degree).

Then my dear dear Kathy came, with a big bunch of flowers which carefully prepared by her mum (thank you auntie T.T). With the flowers there was a card written by Kathy, celebrating my graduation and our 8th month. So sweet. *heart*heart*~~~

Had lunch, then chat chat chat, followed by graduation ceremony, then to we took a group photos of all students flying our hats. The classic one! Really thank the Property Department of the UoA for organizing everything so well. They've hired a professional cameraman to firm us.

Then it's Albert Park our photo section, Raymond, Peggy, Aurora (my professional photographer, really appreciated a lot!), also Ricky with his new Nikon D200 and 18-200mm VR lens! (I am darn jealous man! >___<) and dozens of others you name it! Here CC came to take photos for me again (so touched).

After hearing all these shutter sounds, we finally got to sit down at the korean "green bus" restaurant. Here I dropped my camera on the floor!!! My heart was frozen when I saw the camera hitting the floor. And my heart was as fragile as the glass! But Thank God for his merciful hand, only the UV filter whose main purpose is to protect the lens from dust was broken. Economic loss: $20. It was close. (I need to relax myself after typing in this paragraph -_-#)

Anyways, I had a really nice graduation experience today. Everything just turned out so well and smooth. And I really really appreciated those who gave me support and took photos with/for me.

I will need to somehow assemble my photos from different cameras from my friends. Its a big job! Once I got some photos I will post a few here. Thanks for your patience. :)
